Who is Involved?

Richard Colback is the founder of Epic States, a strategy and business intelligence consultancy focusing on the use of social media for businesses. His experience includes working as a strategic consultant with Bain and Company and Booker Tate, as well as managing several companies in operational and business development roles.  He has been involved as a consultant in the Sports, Media, Transportation, Financial, Healthcare and Manufacturing industries. He received his MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California Los Angeles where he was a Fulbright Scholar. @richardcolback, @epicstates

Michael Sean Wright, Founder of nicefishfilms, is a live Documentary Filmmaker with vast experience in attracting audiences through social media communications. He directed the Ustream.TV studio from SXSW, a live interactive experience of music and technology, which garnered over 1 Million viewers.  His documentaries on social media are among the most watched and quoted by key figures and personalities of social media. He is in constant conversation with the thought leaders in tech, media and business. Wright is a contributing analyst for SiliconANGLE and consultant to start-ups and media companies. @nicefishfilms

Nelson Gayton specializes in entrepreneurship in media, technology and entertainment, including sports.  He is currently executive director of the Entertainment and Media Management Institute, at UCLA. Prior to this, he was an Adjunct Faculty member of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he served as the Managing Director of the School’s Media & Entertainment Initiative. Nelson has also served as a General Partner of the venture management firm, Crayon Venture Partners where executed a host of investments in the media space and today remains on the Advisory Board of a number of leading, venture and angel-backed digital media companies such as ThinkPassenger.com, PlaceVine, SpectrumDNA and NossaTV. @nelsongayton

Brian Roy is President and Founder of justSignal a company dedicated to helping businesses better understand and serve their target market through Social Media.  His prior experience includes work as an Emerging Technologies/Innovation Practice Leader at Intuit, Principal Consultant at eLoyalty , Sr. Systems Engineer at VCommerce and Manager of Technical Operations at Microage. @brianroy, @justsignal

Mona Nomura leads a tribe of engaged and curious geeks with a joy for unfolding the new and sharing the discovery.  Her involvement in many of the new social media platforms such as Friendfeed, facebook and Twitter has gained her a vast audience and network which gives and receives to stay at the leading edge of communications and platforms. @mona  

Morgan Brown is Director of Marketing at TurnHere.  Part Geek - Part Marketer, Morgan works at the intersection of  technology and marketing to create value for consumers and companies. His social media focus is on content creation and online marketing. He is an early adoptor of social media platforms that works with clients to create measurable value for customers and companies through honest use of technology and marketing. @morganb

Edwin Khodabakchian (via Skype) is an entrepreneur and software developer focusing on personalization, mash-ups and semantic web.  He is co-founder and CEO at Feedly, a magazine like start page that provides highly focused personalized content aggregation, and is on the advisory board of several technology companies.  His prior experience includes working as the Vice President of Product Development at Oracle and Co-founder and CEO at Collaxa (acquired by Oracle). @edwk, @feedly

     

Mark Hopkins (Via Skype) is the Editor-in-Chief at SiliconANGLE.  Mark is a web personality and pioneer of podcasting known mostly for his involvement in three projects: RantMedia, BlipMedia, and his personal blog rizzn.com. A vocal presence on the internet with posts in blogs and usenet dating back to 1997 with strong emphasis on politics, religion, and technology. Prior experience includes working as big kahuna at studio.rizzn Associate Editor at Mashable,  Product Manager at5Tribe and Founding Member at BlipMedia. @siliconangle, @rizzn

Michael Flanagan is Founder and President of Video Symphony Film and TV School in Burbank.  He is a 22-year veteran entrepreneur in digital media, with 15 years in entertainment post production. Skilled in business development, marketing, and legal aspects of small business formation and management.  He has also helped many people find jobs in the entertainment industry. Since 1995 he has lectured and written on techniques and data for successful job searching.
